Wukitsch: Week 16 NFL Spread Predictions

By IAN WUKITSCH

Welcome back football fanatics! Before I give ya’ll my predictions I just want to touch on Johnny Football’s performance last week. People are getting ready to write this guy off as a “bust” and saying he’ll never make it in the NFL. Really? The guy has made ONE start in the league, with a struggling team desperately needing a win. Will he be a great quarterback? Probably not. But are we jumping to conclusions, and writing this guy off far too soon? Absolutely. If there is a place in this league for guys like Geno Smith, Mark Sanchez, and Jimmy Clausen, then there is absolutely a place for Manziel. Oh and by the way, lets not forget about Peyton Manning’s rookie season and how poorly he performed. All right….enough defending my boy, and on to the picks for Week 16. DESMOND: GIANTS’ FUTURE NOT SO BLUE THANKS TO KING ODELL

Move over Victor Cruz, there’s a new king of New York.

And thank God he has come to play. After missing the first four games of the season, Odell Beckham Jr. has become an explosive catalyst for the Giants’ offense, hauling in a franchise record 71 catches for 972 yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie. He’s even got his own meme, a viral response to his sensational catch against the Cowboys on Nov. 23. Continue reading DESMOND: GIANTS’ FUTURE NOT SO BLUE THANKS TO KING ODELL

BLAIN: It Ain’t Easy Being Green — 3 Burning Questions the Jets Need to Answer

This week there was a Monday Night Football game played in East Rutherford and prior to kickoff it felt just like any other Monday nighter. There was a huge concert in Times Square featuring names like U2 and Bruce Springsteen, a packed house, hours of over-done pre-game coverage on ESPN—you name it. To the unknowing, it was business as usual. Wukitsch: Week 12 NFL Spread Predictions

I start this week off with a little question for the Trax Pack — say you are in the owners seat — do you draft Jameis Winston? If so, how high? To be honest, I don’t think this guy is worthy enough to be a “Face of the Franchise” kinda guy. The talent and ability he has shown in college is unquestioned, the guy can flat out ball, but it is his off the field issues that really get to me. I can live with stealing crab legs and selling your autographs to get some cash, times are hard financially I get that; I’m in the same boat. But sexual assault and shaving points? No thanks. Winston has too many issues with his personal character to make him my starting QB, there’s just no way around it. Especially if this guy is shaving points for people to win bets, and putting his team — his FAMILY — at risk out on the field. Cut the crap Jameis, grow up and play football. Leave the off the field antics somewhere else. Now that I’m all fired up, here are my picks for Week 12. Continue reading Wukitsch: Week 12 NFL Spread Predictions

DESMOND: G-MEN NEED A DIFFERENT KIND OF LUCK TO TOPPLE INDY IN MNF

The Giants come off their bye week facing a disappointing 3-4 record. To make matters worse, they will square off against the fiercest of foes in a highly touted Monday Night Football match-up, hoping to top Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts.

Currently sitting comfortably at 5-3 and first place of the AFC South, Luck and the Colts will visit MetLife stadium to take on Tom Coughlin’s ailing Giants squad. The Colts lead the league across the board, currently first in yards per game (452.2), second in points per game (31.2) and first in passing yards per game (336.5). While most would consider an Indianapolis victory to be all too certain, the Colts are reeling after a sobering 34-51 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8. The Giants have a chance of making the game competitive, if they can execute in a few key areas. Continue reading DESMOND: G-MEN NEED A DIFFERENT KIND OF LUCK TO TOPPLE INDY IN MNF
